Abstracts

(Sarwar talk): The monoid algebras are generalizations of affine toric varieties. We shall start with a historical account of K-theory of monoid algebras. Starting with the works of M.P. Murthy, and D.F. Anderson. Then we shall discuss the contribution of J. Gubeladze. Finally, we will talk about our contribution in algebraic K-theory of monoid algebras. If the time permits, we will state some of our recent results with A. Krishna.
